Scrum Master, £550 per day, London (Remote), 6 months

Using Agile methodology, you will support Product Owners and Sprint teams to capture use cases and user stories and clearly define features, functionality, and success criteria to mobilise a clear prioritised pipeline of work for both Data Engineering and Data Visualisation teams. You will focus on creating high value increments that have a clear definition of done and meet stakeholder acceptance criteria

Through exploration and close collaboration with Product teams, stakeholders and SME’s you will help plan and facilitate a clear Agile way of working to ensure positive, productive and timeboxed activities. Working closely with the Delivery Lead you will support the Programme Manager to successfully deliver the Data Led Decisions Transformation Plan, whilst empowering Product teams to thrive through removing impediments, leading, coaching and above all giving them confidence Agile ways of working in a complex environment

We are embarking on an exciting data transformation and this role is critical in establishing user needs to enable the wider Programme to prioritise activity to surface consumable insights to drive effective decision making with trust and speed. Overall, you will be supporting the implementation of best practice solutions, support decision making and drive data and analytics capability.


Key responsibility;

  • Establish consistent and effective Scrum implementation into the team with clear lines of communication on issues and risks to the Delivery Lead
  • Facilitate and Plan Scrum events with Product owners
  • Develop and maintain consistent Jira Boards and reporting which include a consolidated view for the Delivery Lead, Head of Data Products and Global Head of Data
  • Coach team members in Agile frameworks
  • Ensure Scrum Artifacts are managed, reviewed and elaborated effectively ensuring the teams are focussing on the right activity according to the DLD Roadmap
  • Ensure deliverables are up to the agreed definition of done at the end of each sprint
  • Report on Team velocity, team health and resource constraints

Key skills;

  • Experience in a scrum master role
  • Scrum master certification
  • Good knowledge of Agile frameworks (e.g. Scrum, SAFe, etc)
  • Innovative critical thinker, who is motivated by enabling the business to do more with data.
  • Passion to deliver compelling solutions that exceed stakeholder expectations.
  • Must have proven ability to deliver and embrace change in a fast paced, service- oriented environment.
  • Strong collaboration skills demonstrating the ability to work harmoniously and productively with all disciplines.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal with the ability to translate highly technical projects into business- friendly terms.
  • Highly organised with excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks to ensure that projects are completed by deadlines and streamlining processes to maximize productivity.
  • Emotionally resilient and able to deal with ambiguity and complexity.
  • Collaborative team communication, both remotely and on location.
  • Can form strong relationships with the business stakeholders to enable confidence and collaboration in our journey to deliver outstanding data capabilities and self-service analytics.
  • Can identify and communicate risk or blockers quickly to minimise impact on delivery.
