Job description
MERP Systems is seeking an experienced and dedicated Agile Coach/Scrum Master to join our team. As an Agile Coach/Scrum Master, you will play a crucial role in leading and coaching the Scrum Team on Agile practices and principles, ensuring effective project delivery. You will be responsible for facilitating all Scrum events, helping with backlog preparation, and improving the team's performance through coaching and development techniques. Your exceptional communication and coaching skills will be essential in promoting self-organization, cross-functional skill development, and effective collaboration within the Scrum team.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and coach the Scrum Team on Agile practices and principles, ensuring adherence to Scrum theory, practice, and guidelines.
- Run and facilitate all Scrum events, including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective.
- Assist the Product Owner/Business Analysts and the team in backlog preparation, improving velocity, and ensuring the preparation of important Scrum artifacts.
- Identify areas of strength and improvement within the project team and employ appropriate coaching and development techniques to enhance performance.
- Educate the project team on Scrum concepts and promote adherence to Scrum theory, practice, and guidelines.
- Coach the Scrum team in self-organization, cross-functional skill development, and domain knowledge, fostering effective internal and external communication within the team.
Qualifications / Skills:
- Scrum Master certification with CSM
- SAFe certification
- Outstanding communication, facilitation, negotiation, and coaching skills
- Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks and understanding of software development life cycle models, as well as in-depth knowledge of traditional project management principles and practices
- Proficiency in refinement, story splitting, estimation, velocity, retrospection, and other Scrum techniques
- Ability to plan and problem-solve with product management and delivery teams
- Strong working knowledge of Azure DevOps
- Foundational understanding of low code, no code platform implementations
- Experience working as a Business Analyst
