We are hiring a skilled E-commerce Website Developer with expertise in Shopify to join our team at LUNA & me in Beaminster, Dorset.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our online store on the Shopify platform.
Your primary focus will be on designing and implementing a user-friendly, visually appealing, and highly functional e-commerce website that aligns with our business goals and brand image. You will collaborate closely with our design and marketing team to ensure a seamless user experience and drive customer engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop our customised e-commerce website on the Shopify platform, adhering to best practices and standards.
- Collaborate with the design and marketing team to create visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces that enhance the overall user experience.
- Customise and configure Shopify themes, templates, and plugins to meet specific project requirements.
- Integrate third-party applications and extensions, such as payment gateways, shipping providers, and marketing tools, into our e-commerce platform.
- Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure website functionality, responsiveness, and compatibility across multiple devices and browsers.
- Optimise website performance, loading speed, and security.
- Ensure the implementation of SEO best practices to enhance organic search visibility.
- Monitor and analyse website analytics to identify areas for improvement and implement optimisation strategies.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in e-commerce website development.
Requirements:
- Proven work experience as an E-commerce Website Developer, preferably with a focus on Shopify.
- Proficient in Shopify development, including theme customisation, app integration, and liquid programming.
- Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive web design principles.
- Familiarity with web development frameworks and libraries (e.g., React, Angular) is a plus.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and project management tools.
- Knowledge of SEO principles and techniques for e-commerce websites.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and time management skills.
Education and Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field (preferred but not required).
- Relevant certifications in Shopify or web development are a plus.
