The Scrum Master role within the Accelerator team (formerly called Global Digital Hub) is a lynch pin to support the full x-matrix team e.g. Regional CX Directors, CX Delivery Managers, Medical Affairs Managers and key stakeholders across Global GPS teams, the Region & LOCs. The Scrum Master is critical to coordinate and organise the team using agile methodologies, manage communications, solve problems and deliver great user journeys and ultimately customer experiences across our varied campaigns. The role of the scrum master will be to bring industry agile practices to this omni-channel marketing team leading all Scrum ceremonies, remove impediments and shield them from external distractions. A scrum master is a personal coach for team members and innovators who constantly seek ways to improve team experience and user journey delivery applying design thinking principles & agile marketing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide the team and organization on how to use scrum & agile practices and methodologies
  • Oversees scrum process and coaches the team; facilitates transparency, inspection and adaptation
  • Lead daily scrum, sprint review, and planning meetings in a way that ensures full team engagement
  • Supports the Regional CX Directors to work with Brands on release planning and to successfully track spend vs budget, overseeing invoice management of third parties
  • Removes impediments (e.g., cultural barriers, logistic challenges)
  • Fosters close cooperation across all team members, encourages cross-training and supporting each other
  • Shields the team from external interference and ensures the team is fully functional and productive
  • Generates agile mindset through conversations, coaching, and role-playing exercises
  • Builds a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of punishment

Basic Qualifications

  • Deep knowledge of agile ways of working
  • Ability to coach team on agile practices and ensure adherence to agile methodology to deliver max business value on time
  • Ability to promote innovative thinking and self-improvement within the team
  • Confident and skilled at navigating the team through road-blocks to allow sprints to be completed on time
  • 5-7 + years of experience with digital marketing, agile marketing principles
