THE ROLE

Scientist I – Process Development

We are looking to recruit a Scientist I to expand our Process Development team. A successful candidate will be working very closely with Research and Development department and will contribute to creation of the best ways of manufacturing process to help to develop our CAR-Treg therapies and will be involved in generating next generation products.

This position offers an excellent opportunity for a talented and motivated Scientist to contribute to a key part of our work. Quell offers an exciting and highly dynamic environment focused on developing cutting-edge Treg therapies.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To provide technical expertise, and practical capacity to the Process Development team.
  • To contribute to improvement of existing process design, regarding efficiency and quality.
  • Manage multiple projects and work cross-functionally.
  • Assist in designing, conducting, optimizing and evaluating new processes in manufacture within GMP environment.
  • Manage process development related activities across multiple projects and providing technical leadership for completing projects with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain highly organised and detailed documentation and establishing relevant SOPs.
  • Collaborate and coordinate work with other teams to meet deadlines and goals.
  • Manage and support external collaborations as a subject matter expert in immunology.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Practical experience implementing design of experiments to develop processes.
  • Solid understanding of immunology and cell therapy.
  • Demonstrable expertise in cell-based techniques include flow cytometry.
  • Ability to perform experiments independently.
  • Experience writing scope of work/project proposals, study reports and SOPs.
  • Resourcefulness in overcoming challenges and possess the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience working with closed system/automated equipment.
  • Excellent time and project management skills.
  • Contribute to a culture that embraces scientific excellence, integrity, urgency, patient centricity and continuous improvemen
  • PhD or MD/ Ph.D in relevant scientific discipline or; Masters degree or native equivalent with 4+ years of directly related experience or; Bachelors degree in scientific discipline with 5 + years of exceptional experience.
