Job purpose:
GSK CMC, crossing R&D and manufacturing, is striving to accelerate research and development initiatives to bring vaccines and medicines to market faster and more efficiently and sustainbily to humanity.
Cost of goods and environmental analysis of proposed production processes at early development stages is a key input to process development teams as they work to establish the most efficient and sustainable processes possible for commercial scale production.
The Process Analyst will work with process development teams to provide feedback on the cost and sustainability impacts of proposed process routes. The Process Analyst also will work with innovation teams to help build business and environmental impact cases for the implementation of new production technologies.
In this exciting role, the Process Analyst will provide key input to guide route selection, innovation project prioritization, and environmental impact reduction projects. The Process Analyst will work with process development teams as well as stakeholders across R&D, Digital and Tech, and Manufacturing.
The role holder should have a passion for using big picture analysis and thinking to impact decision making. This role will serve as a key ambassador and champion of using cost of goods and environmental impact to drive decision making in process development. The role holder will need to proactively seek opportunities to apply their skills to impact projects.
Your responsibilities:
Key responsibilities will include but shall not be limited to:
- Costs of goods analyses of proposed production processes from early stage process development through technology transfer to manufacturing.
- Environmental impact analysis of proposed production processes from early stage process development through technology transfer to manufacturing.
- Coordination of interactions between GSK teams and third parties for outsourced analyses and management of relationships with partners.
- Analysis of proposed new production technologies and contribution to business case for development.
- Analysis of digital, data, and analytics projects impacting production processes and other projects in the digital transformation portfolio in collaboration with the value team.
- Communication of analysis results to a wide variety of stakeholders and in a wide variety of formats.

Basic Qualifications:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
- Master degree in chemical engineering, bioprocess engineering, or similar.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a relevant industry sector, process development, chemical or biochemical production.
- Knowledge of (bio)chemical productions processes and typical unit operations.
- Familiarity with simulation software such as SuperPro, SchedulePro, BioSolve is a plus.
- Fluent English (spoken and written)
- French or Italian a plus
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, and coordination skills.
- Excellent networking, communication and presentations skills, ability to facilitate interfaces within extended network, proven experience in negotiating and influencing at different levels both internally and externally.
- Growth mindest and flexibility to examine processes and procedures and seek continuous improvement.
- Ability and willingness to learn how to apply new software applications for process analysis.
Preferred qualifications:
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
- MBA, PhD or equivalent in Chemical engineering, bioprocess engineering, or similar.
