Ideally located in and around Taunton / Yeovil area. Hybrid Working (mostly site and home based)
Covering Minehead, W-S-M, Exeter and Somerset areas, with occasional holiday / sickness cover in the Plymouth / Newton Abbot areas.

Overview
Soltech IT provides a comprehensive range of IT services and hands-on ICT / computing support to over 700 business and education (primary schools) clients across the South West of England. We put the needs of our clients first, taking care of all of their technology needs.

We are looking to recruit a dedicated and experienced individuals to provide field based IT support to our business and education client base in the South West (Minehead, W-S-M, Exeter and Somerset areas, with occasional holiday / sickness cover in the Plymouth / Newton Abbot areas)
The role requires remote support and on-site support visits to business clients and primary schools.
The successful candidate will also be involved in project installations. This may involve assisting in the deployment laptops or PC's, installing WiFi, assisting project engineers with server installations and migrations, and much more.
Individuals will be passionate about IT with a strong technical background, be self-motivated and enjoy providing excellent customer service. This role requires the successful candidate to be a team player, have strong communication and organisation skills along with a courteous manner with the ability to explain technical issues in layman’s terms to our customers.
Candidates should be able to work independently and have an aptitude for problem solving and a proactive approach to identifying ways to improve services.
Previous experience of working within education would be beneficial, but not essential.
The successful candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS and safeguarding check. Due to the requirement to visit client sites, you must be able to drive and have your own vehicle to be considered for this role.
In return, we offer career progression and a full time starting salary between £25,000 and £30,000 negotiable for the right person.
