Job Description:
The incumbent will be responsible for establishing and maintaining client relationships for a portfolio of Advisors, Clients and Consultants. The client base is composed of retirement arrangements that vary in design, and consist of a broad range of products and investments offered by the division. The incumbent will interact with Advisors, Clients and Consultants.
What will you do?
Maintain frequent contact with the clients/advisor to ensure satisfaction and loyalty
Continuously assess the evolving needs of the client/advisor and introduce services or product solutions to meet those needs over time
Accountable for the adherence to the service model framework contributing to the overall profitability of the clients
Participate in plan review meetings and consult on plan amendment and design changes
Actively participate with the sales leader in the sales process (i.e. contribute to developing proposal for services, attend short list presentations to describe GRS' client relationship process as well as key client services)
Work closely with all internal teams to ensure the best client outcome
Partner Advisors, Clients and Consultants to support and manage the resolution of any barriers or issues that arise in their retirement program
Create a positive service experience with Sun Life as their GRS provider and develop a mutual partnership
Actively contribute to positive client outcomes and an increase in NPS scores for our responsive client business
What do you need to succeed?
As this position is posted in several locations, we specify that bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required for Quebec only for the frequent interactions with English and French-speaking colleagues or internal partners across Canada or worldwide.
Proven record in the Client Relationship Management field, with minimum of 5 years working with pension and group savings clients
Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills
Strong problem solving skills with the ability to quickly and effectively resolve client concerns
Strong client focus
Highly motivated, independent self-starter with strong business acumen and negotiation skills
Broad knowledge of the services provided by record-keeping organizations, such as Sun Life’s Group Retirement Services
Extensive knowledge of the legislation governing retirement savings programs at both the federal and provincial levels as well as a solid understanding of emerging regulatory trends and the implications for clients
Strong presentation skills
Superior organizational skills and the ability to follow through
University degree or equivalent
Assets:
A professional designation associated with the group retirement services industry (e.g. CEBS, RPA, IFIC, CSC, other)
Access to a vehicle as travel might be required

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
