Hours: 15 per week (3 hours per day)
Days: Monday -Friday 7am-10am or by arrangement
Term-Time Only
Salary Scale: Grade 2 (£10.50-£10.98 per hour)
We are excited to be offering the chance for an enthusiastic, adaptable and reliable Caretaker to join our team. Woods Loke Community Primary School is located in Oulton Broad, on the outskirts of Lowestoft. We are a large school and occupy a beautiful site - with a variety of outside spaces including meadowed areas, a large pond and two playing fields.
The school is committed to excellence in all activities and the role of School Caretaker is hugely important. Working closely with our team, you will be involved in ensuring the security of the premises and the general upkeep of the site.
Main responsibilities include:
- Ensuring the site is clean, tidy and in a good state of repair
- Working alongside other site staff to carry out day-to-day maintenance
- Keeping the site safe and secure
This role is one of trust and responsibility, requiring the successful candidate to be hardworking, practical and adaptable as well as having a strong commitment to maintaining high standards in whatever they do.
The successful candidate must be a good communicator with adults and children and understand how their role is crucial to providing a physical environment that nurtures and encourages learning. The role may at times require flexible hours of work.
Visits to the school site are encouraged.
