JOB TITLE: MEDICAL SCHEDULER

SALARY: $17 - $19/HOUR

OTHER INFORMATION: This is a non-exempt position.

REPORTS TO: QUALITY SERVICES MANAGER

POSITION HOURS: Four weekdays 11 am - 8 pm

Saturday 8 am - 3 pm

Must attend 4-6 weeks on site training.

QUALIFICATIONS OF MEDICAL SCHEDULER:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Medical Assistant certification preferred.
• 2 years’ medical office experience or background required.

• COVID 19 Vaccination required (CHDC may approve religious/medical exemptions)

• MEDICAL SCHEDULER RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operates main telephone, routes calls, takes patient messages, sets appointments according to protocol.
• Responsible for verifying patient demographics and updating as needed.
• Responsible for verifying patient’s current insurance at time of call.
• Informs patients of our Sliding Fee Discount Application and what would be required in order to apply
• Performs all assigned duties in a manner consistent with maintaining a safe and respectful patient care environment.
• Performs other related duties as required or assigned.
• Position is currently remote.
