Personal Assistant + Animal Care (dogs) Dartington, Totnes.
Shifts available, 8am-1pm, 4pm-7pm and/or 7pm-7am, including weekends
Rates of pay £10.42- £13.13ph and night shift £125.00

I am a 62 year-old woman. I live for and love to train my two collies to compete in Open Dog Agility https://youtu.be/sueEmnX-i-8and take part in Mantrailing. Or at least I usually do. Currently I am undergoing rehabilitation having broken both my legs and so looking forward to getting back to a more active life. Nb The two dogs at the property require careful handling, as 1 can be reactive. Initially the position is for 12 weeks with a very strong possibility this will be extended.
Requirements of the position:
Personal care including:
Regular hoisting to the commode and wheelchair
Bed baths
Regular administration of medication
Preparing food and assisting with feeding
Keeping the house in order, including laundry
Assisting with walking and feeding the dogs as requested and under supervision
Please be aware that the dogs are fed raw food
Driving and accompanying to hospital and doctors’ appointments
Assisting with phone calls, paperwork and admin
Person specification:
Respecting of my privacy
Ability to follow instructions is a must
Enthusiasm and willingness to learn is more important than experience, as training will be given.
Fit and active
Must like dogs
Confident to drive a long wheel base automatic sprinter van would be an advantage
Garden cabin available for night shifts, with bed and wifi, kitchenette and wc
