Job description
We're recruiting volunteers over the age of 18 to help keep the Derby Save the Children Superstore open, so please apply if you're interested in finding out more.
At Save the Children, we believe in changing children’s future, we operate in the UK and around the world to ensure children are safe and healthy. We support them to learn, grow and become who they want to be. Our shops help raise vital funds, and our volunteers are the leading force in making this possible.
We are so excited to have recently reopened our Derby Save the Children Shop! It has a fresh new look and is our first ever streamlined superstore for customers and supporters – providing a range of pre-loved items at discounted prices. It’s a high volume, fast paced shop bursting with energy, enthusiasm and creativity and we’d love to welcome you to join our Volunteer Team!
If you would like to volunteer with us all you will need is some enthusiasm and a desire to make a difference. The role is diverse, taking place on the shop floor and behind the scenes. Volunteer tasks include anything from sorting donations, pricing products, managing the till, and helping with the window displays.
Don’t worry if you haven’t had any experience of working in a shop because we will provide all the training you need and let you build up your skills and knowledge in your own time.
Our shops are warm, friendly, and fun where you’ll get the chance to meet new people, make friends, learn new skills, and get involved in your local community. We also reimburse travel expenses, so you won’t be out of pocket.
The kettle's always on (when we're open) if you fancy popping in for a chat in person, otherwise just click on apply to let us know you’re interested.
