A large and highly successful steel stockholder and distributor is looking to recruit an Internal Sales Advisor / Sales Trainee to be based at their offices in Dalton, near Thirsk
The position is available due to planned growth of the company, and the successful candidate will receive technical training in sales of steel pruducts to business customers. As such, the role would suit someone with Customer Service skills looking to develop a career in Sales
You will be the first point of contact for customer sales enquiries and tasked with providing a high level of customer service and technical advice, to ensure that customer needs are met.
Requirements of the role:
· Eager to secure a telephone customer service role and have a friendly disposition along with strong communication skills
· A competitive nature with aspiration and tenacity to sell
· Strong Maths and enjoys working with numbers
· Diligent towards accuracy, attention to details and organized with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
· Confident working with Microsoft packages & IT systems and software
Initial duties under Supervision and with Training will include:
· Receiving inbound calls and attending in inbound email enquiries; maintaining and developing relationships with customers
· Making accurate cost calculations and providing customers with quotations
· Liaising with other internal departments to check on the progress of existing orders and keeping customers informed
· Recording sales and order information and providing feedback to colleagues
· Gathering market and customer information
· Reviewing own sales performance against targets as you gain experience
· Attending company training as required
