Sales Trainee

Salary: $66,700 - $99,900

Location: Cerritos, CA WestRock- Cerritos, CA

Cerritos location is currently seeking a Sales Trainee who is interested in a career in the paperboard and packaging industry. Ideal candidates will have some sales experience, preferably with an undergraduate degree. The goal of the program is to give the trainee the knowledge and tools needed to transition into a Sales Representative role. The Sales Trainee will receive on the job training at the Cerritos, CA facility.

Responsibilities: The role of Sales Trainee

• Learn how to manage supplier relationships with an established location.

•Develop rapport with customers by making periodic visits and exploring specific needs

• Learn how to anticipate new opportunities by identifying problems/opportunities within the customer’s organization.
• Learn how to strategically sell company value to customers
• Learn sales policies, job functions and expectations leading to the position of Sales Representative Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Negotiation skills, sales, budgeting/forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Creative problem solving, analytical thinking.
• Ability to communicate and form relationships at all levels within the organization.
• MS Office and Excel Skills. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, goal-oriented, motivated by commission earnings and success, and open to interdepartmental training in graphics, manufacturing, etc.
