Hopkins Concrete Ltd is a leading supplier of ready mixed concrete and concrete pumps throughout the South West. We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Sales and Transport Co-Ordinator for our busy Wincanton sales office. The role requires good communication skills and an enthusiastic personality suitable for sales. Accurate data input skills are essential and experience of using a “sale to invoice” system is desirable. The ideal candidate would have experience of the ready mixed concrete or quarry products industry gained from either an office or on-site end user background or be from a builder’s merchant. Key duties include customer order handling, telephone sales and supporting the external sales team with customer quotations. Consideration will be given to enthusiastic persons without experience providing they have a “can-do” attitude, be willing to learn and work hard to become a member of a successful team. This is a full-time role with opportunity to progress within the Hopkins Concrete business and our parent company Tarmac.
- Dealing with customer telephone orders and sales enquires for concrete.
- Accurately adding orders to the Command and Apex systems.
- Programming trucks to meet customer orders and keeping customers informed of delivery times.
- Giving telephone quotations to cash sale customers and taking card payments before delivery.
- Supporting the external sales team with confirmation quotations and orders
- Supporting the Commercial Manager as and when requested.
- In addition to your normal duties, you may be required to undertake other such roles/duties as the Employer considers appropriate having regard to your skills and experience.

Salary: £27,500.00-£29,500.00 per year
