Hello and welcome to EcoScent.
We are here to help enhance customers' experiences through ambient fragrance and to influence purchase decisions, by using the power of scent through our stylish scent delivery systems, premium fragrance oils and Private Label offering. We are based in South East London near Blackheath (Lee SE12).
As our Sales and Business Development Associate you will have excellent time keeping skills, be highly organised and must be able to work as directed as well as on your own without any direct supervision. Ideally you will be located in the South East London area.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is not a remote, WFH, or hybrid position. This is client facing and to attend clients and site visits.
The Sales and Business Development Associate, reporting to the Sales Director, you will be developing and managing existing accounts. In this autonomous role, the successful candidate will be expected to set up regular appointments with new businesses and begin to build the relationships and grow the account along with managing any existing clients assigned to you.
Developing and growing a mix of key specification accounts, including hotels, bars, restaurants, gyms, interior designers, architects, contractors, consultants and mechanical engineers to name a few!
Achieving sales targets by managing a constant sales project pipeline - from preparation and negotiation to contract closure. Working locally and nationally to deliver high levels of customer satisfaction, engagement and loyalty.
The salary offered is a mix of basic salary and payment via commission per sales targets set.
Maintaining a solid understanding of Scent Marketing and fragrance industry, the competitive landscape and key drivers in order to develop and adapt tactics to ensure sustainable profitable growth. Being hands-on and driven in developing yourself and others in all elements of the role.
You should have an understanding of business to business sale process, and an interest in fragrance and improving a customers experience. You should also be able to demonstrate a proven track record of success in previous roles as well as developing strong relationships with both clients and peers and have a hunger for developing yourself.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Focusing on growing and developing existing clients, together with generating new business.
- Prepare quotations.
- Act as the key interface between the customer and all relevant divisions.
- Products presentations and training for our customers.
- Ensure and smooth order process and product delivery.
- Develop a strong commercial awareness.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
- Previous experience in sales and account management.
- Strong account management and relationship building skills.
- Highly self-motivated.
- Great attention to the detail, numerical skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Interest in fragrance industry.
