The Sales Specialist is responsible for the development and execution of both existing and new business revenue growth through managing existing customers and the expansion and creation of new customer relationships. The role will report to DDE Media founder, Jim Estill. The role demands a focused self-starter attitude with business acumen and rapport expertise; the Sales Specialist must be reliable, committed, honest, and structured.
DDE Media is a digital multimedia company that fulfills the niche demand for custom college textbooks through collaboration and top-notch customer rapport; DDE is at the forefront of offering students and educators engaging and efficient ways to learn.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Grow existing accounts while creating and establishing new customer relationships
- Execute against a top target list of identified accounts and channel segments to secure new customers and markets for DDE Media
- Work to launch new products for DDE Media within both existing and new channels
- Be a product knowledge champion to provide key recommendations across all opportunities and to work closely with educators, students, professional leaders, and subject matter experts
- Help develop and manage the effective use of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools and processes to ensure accurate tracking of data to build a solid and growing database of customer contact
- Prepare weekly updates and market feedback for in-person reports. The updates will also be used to track progress against assigned sales goals
- Exhibit superb efficiency and self-management skills as a remote employee
- Demonstrate a positive can-do attitude to focus on doing the right thing and represent the company in a professional manner focused on long-term success
Qualifications:
- Diploma, certificate, or degree in Business, Administration, or Marketing given preference
- 1-2 years of sales or business experience is an asset
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- CRM experience is an asset
- Excellent self-management skills, including time management, prioritizing, communication, and attention to detail
- A self-starter who understands how to drive and deliver the desired results
- Proven ability to develop and grow long-term customer engagement and trust
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $50,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
