Job description
Temporary Retail Sales Assistant required to join our well established and growing shoe retail business for our busy Summer period. We need a young enthusiastic, customer focused person to join our small team to sell and manage store merchandise.
Reporting to the Store Manger, this is an exciting and varied role in a small and growing business. This role will suit someone hardworking, energetic with an outgoing personality to serve and converse with our customers.
Job Duties:
- Work as part of a store team and assist with efficient running of store.
- Contribute to achieving sales targets by maintaining good stock levels, proactive selling and excellent visual merchandising.
- Serve customers as a priority, showing high standards of customer care at all times.
- To process customer orders accurately and efficiently, in accordance with store operating procedures.
- To merchandise and display products appropriately. Ensure products have the correct pricing.
- To answer customer enquiries.
- Processing of stock deliveries which will include moderate to heavy lifting.
- Ensure high standards of housekeeping in all areas of shop, stores and staff room.
Essential:
- Good customer service skills.
- Flexibility to meet the needs of the business.
- Ability to work within a team.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Should be able to climb stairs to access store rooms.
- Have an interest in fashion.
Desirable:
- Previous retail sales experience.
- Ability to carry out additional tasks as requested.
- Competent I.T. skills on Microsoft Office.
- Good knowledge of Social Media.
This is a Temporary position and will consist of 30 hours per week minimum between Monday-Saturday 9:00am-5:30pm and all applying candidates must be able to work every Saturday.
Extra hours available in busy periods.
This is a Summer Position to cover staff holidays and assist with our peak trading period so it is ideal that you have no holidays booked for the second half of July and all of August.
