Job description
Our European Finance department is a growing team responsible for managing the accounts of CAE’s European civil aviation businesses. We’re looking for you to join the team as an Accounts Receivable Administrator.
Day to day your role will include:
- Invoicing customers in a correct and timely manner, both system and manually generated in line with department KPIs
- Collecting outstanding AR and keep the value of overdue AR and Days of Sales Outstanding (DSO) measurements to acceptable levels
- Resolving customer queries, including the recommendation and implementation of any agreed improvements
- Ensuring all daily sales transactions are booked, reviewed and processed in a timely and accurate manner
- Reconciling sales sub-ledgers to the general ledger at month-end
- Correctly matching customer receipts to invoices
- Reconciling customer receipts to the cashbooks, and reconciling statements with customers to resolve issues
- Ensuring credit memos are duly processed once authorized
- Ensuring compliance with AR corporate policies and procedures
- Ensuring customer databases are kept up-to-date with payment terms, contact details etc
- Providing accurate and timely reports to the AR Group leader and other members of management within the region
- Preparing for, and attending, periodic AR status meetings in line with governance model
- Ensuring intercompany billing and reporting is provided within deadlines
- Ensuring all audit queries are addressed within the required deadline
- Assisting with specific business unit tasks, including month-end close, forecasting
Our ideal candidate has:
- Experience in Accounts Receivable, Credit Controller, or Sales Ledger role
- Experience with finance systems (eg. Oracle Cloud or similar)
- Proficient in Excel and similar systems
What else would be beneficial/ desirable?
- Credit management qualification
- Bi-lingual (we’re a European team so additional languages would be useful!)
Location:
Gatwick, West Sussex
We operate a hybrid approach to on-site/ remote work. It’s expected that you’ll be in the office at least twice a week, including every Monday.
