You will need proven sales experience, together with a good record of achieving targets. A degree, HND or similar qualification is desirable, but your experience, track record, technical knowledge and personal qualities will be considered more important than formal qualifications.

This role is a ‘growth role’ with the opportunity to grow into a Sales Manager role as your sales grow, and the team grows. Our vision is to grow the Northern HQ sales team into a much bigger team and this Sales Executive role will be at the heart of helping grow the team.
The majority of enquiries are ‘in-bound’ and telephone / internet based. The mix of enquiries (and our present customer-base) is roughly 70% domestic and 30% commercial. Along with selling into these ‘in-bound’ enquiries, the role will also involve up-selling to existing customers (especially commercial customers) and building new relationships with commercial clients e.g. national high-street shop chains and smaller local business chains.
The typical tasks involved in the role include:
- Managing and closing ‘in-bound’ sales with both domestic and commercial customers
- Hitting (and ideally smashing!) your monthly / quarterly sales targets
- Actively up-selling to existing customers (including working out strategies for marketing campaigns to target these customers)
- Developing and executing strategies to develop new commercial customers e.g. national high-street shops and smaller local chains
- Dealing with all major customer accounts personally, helping build loyalty and advocacy with AMCO
- Reporting back to management at a regular basis
- Keeping up to date with new products and competitors
- Participating in the formulation of marketing strategies and tactics
The main AMCO product is LiveTalk alarm monitoring and we’re a leader in our space - meaning our product ultimately sells itself. Additionally AMCO has a strong brand giving you the support needed to make sales.
Overall, the role is about winning and growth, with the aim to turn your individual winning into company-wide winning and growth - making money for you individually and the wider company.
Hours and Environment
Normal hours of work are 40 Hrs, Monday to Friday. However, your working hours will vary with the demands of customers.
You will be ideally based in our Easingwold HQ, but are happy for you to work from home once fully trained.
You will also spend some of your time visiting customers, and sales/technical team in the field.

Training
Before taking up his full responsibilities the Sales Manager will undergo training in the companies philosophy, products, operations and administrative procedures. This will involve classroom training, working alongside other employees, working in the field with engineers and familiarising himself with all major competitors products, services and sales tactics.
