Job description
Objective:
Your objective (‘Objective”) is to drive sales by supporting the Sales function in all aspects of the sales process and designing, implementing and maintaining marketing activities in-line with Company objectives. The Sales & Marketing Assistant will also be responsible for maintaining customer relationships, tracking and maintaining sales data and using sales data to create reports to assist sales growth.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
· Assist the Sales function in all aspects of the sales process from pricing to post customer delivery
· Respond to incoming emails and phone enquiries
· Management of internal CRM system
· Liaise with internal departments to ensure customer orders are delivered on time
· Analyse sales statics and produce reports to aid future growth plans
· Conduct competitor and market research on an ongoing basis to aid sales decisions
· Manage the day-to-day communication with key customers and deal with any questions and problems that arise
· Assist in tender submissions
· Responsible for promotional material (Catalogues, flyers, product videos, advertisements etc.) and liaising with designers, agencies and printers
· Creating content, blogs and articles for the Company’s website. Responsible for website update and refreshment.
· Write and proofread marketing copy & press releases
· Post engaging content and blogs, and manage the Company’s social media accounts (Twitter / LinkedIn / Facebook).
· Organise, plan and attend trade events, exhibitions and demonstrations
· Assist in presentations to customers
· This is a home-based role, though travel to factory, client and other sites will be required
Skills Required:
· A passion for sales & marketing
· Proven work experience as a sales & marketing assistant
· Excellent communication and networking skills
· Excellent knowledge of MS Office especially Excel
· Knowledge of CRM software preferred, but not essential
· Knowledge of Word Press
· Experience in using digital marketing software i.e Google Analytics
· Excellent copywriting, editing, proofreading, design & creativity skills
· Good organisational and time management skills
· Self-starter; able to work in an independent manner
· Ability to work well under pressure
· Good project management skills
· Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
· Excellent team player
· Ability to work with employees at all levels of the organization
· Educated to Degree Level
· Full driving license preferred
· General Railway Industry experience essential
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £25,000.00-£29,000.00 per year
