Workplace Deskside Support Engineer

Location Northern Ireland (IRE11, IRE24 & Remote Sites)

Your Role

We are looking for a proactive, dynamic, and driven Deskside Engineer to join the Workplace Services team and be the face of Fujitsu working with end users on the Internal Deskside Support (IDS) account and act as a Service Delivery Unit (SDU) to the Digital Systems Platform Unit (DSPU). Your role will primarily involve delivering face to face IT support to users within Northern Ireland (IRE24, IRE11 & remote sites)resolving Incident tickets, change order requests and project work where required. Excellent customer service skills and a strong customer focus is essential.

You will also be required to travel between sites, at times, so flexibility and adaptability are key. You will manage the call queues, keeping tickets updated with latest actions and closing within SLA.

Your experience

  • Good communication - ability to present yourself confidently with all levels of customer.
  • Good diagnostic approach - methodical and considered
  • Experience of fault-finding on both laptops and desktops
  • Knowledge of Win10 build basics and install/uninstall of software
  • Knowledge of Office 365 applications
  • Basic network skills - sufficient to troubleshoot connectivity issues.
  • Time management- working to deadlines and able to prioritize tasks
  • Participating in projects to boost department's efficiency and improving customer satisfaction
  • ServiceNow knowledge or experience with similar ticket handling applications
  • Quality control and attention to detail
  • Adaptable – Able to bring skills and knowledge from one area and apply to another
  • Flexible – Able to travel to multiple locations locally or in other regions.
