Position Title : Sales Manager for Independent Retail Wholesale trade – the Midlands, England
Job Grade (Career progression): Non-managerial
Reporting Position : Regional Sales Manager
No of Supervised Staff: NA
Division: Sales – Sales – Independent RWT
Salary: £28K (subject to experience) + incentives post probation period + Company maintained car
Purpose of the Job Role
- Manage trading relationships with business customers (range from independent retailers to cash & carry and wholesalers, primarily ethnic food trade)
- Achieve defined sales targets profitably and consistently
- Build and develop relationship with customers
- Develop new accounts across the assigned trade sector
- Innovate promotional campaigns in collaboration with customers
- Maximising product range presence across customers’ outlets
- Perform other duties related to business development as and when required
- Own and lead instore merchandising, branding and campaigns

- Sales (delivering sales target)
- Profitability
- New customer recruitment and business development
- Customer accounts retention and progressive growth management
- Timely payment collection
- Other initiatives as required
Qualification, Skills and Experience
Academic Qualification
- A bachelor’s degree
- Specialisation or certification in Sales and Marketing
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in similar FMCG role
Job Specific Skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Organised and detail-oriented with high numeracy skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressured environment
- Extensive travelling within UK, thus clean driving license is necessary
- Ability to speak other languages such as Mandarin, Cantonese, Filipino or Korean may be an advantage
