The Cornish Food Box Company has an ambitious strategy for growth over the next 5 years. You'll be central to this as you build relationships and sales with corporate clients as well as substantially growing our base of subscription customers.
We are looking for an individual who is ambitious, positive, proactive, a natural ‘people person’ who loves to network and grow strong relationships both with customers and our team, to achieve, and exceed, the required sales targets.
This role reports to the Company Directors, and the ideal candidate will relish the opportunity to get involved in a growing company in a fast paced and evolving sector of e-commerce and local food delivery.
Key Responsibilities and Role Objectives:
- Contact by phone and email potential new domestic and corporate customers across Cornwall and the UK using qualified leads.
- Develop relationships and sales from existing and new corporate clients.
- Represent the company at a variety of events, generate new sales leads and sign up new customers.
- Manage, support & train staff members in sales roles including at events, face to face, and on the phone.
- Work with the company directors to ensure that sales targets are met and report on performance against targets and budget.
- Answer customer queries and take phone orders.
- Identify potential key opportunities, trends, customers and contacts within the identified growth markets.
- Develop existing relationships with customers to maximise sales potential.
- Manage and develop sales within the business and with external partners covering events, telemarketing and other sales opportunities.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:
- At least 3 years’ experience in a similar sales role.
- Proactive networker with a passion for hunting down new opportunities.
- Positive 'can-do' attitude and great team player.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills representing the brand at all opportunities.
- Organised self-starter who is able to prioritise and maximise sales results.
- A clean driving license and own vehicle.
- You must be passionate about local seasonal food.

Based in Redruth, Cornwall. Full time hours with some weekend and occasional evenings as required. Flexitime and some remote working available.

Salary: £25,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
