The Candidate:
The successful candidate will work as part of a dynamic team. The candidate's responsibilities will span the breadth of the company, focusing on all sales-generating activities across the business.
The Sales Manager will be able to build and manage a small sales team alongside the day-to-day management of the account managers. Outside of the managerial requirements, the role will require visits to customer sites, Vendor meetings, exhibitions, and networking events.
The Sales Manager will need to operate in a fast-paced and engaging environment and have good knowledge across a breadth of IT solutions within the SME market.
The successful candidate will be a leader and will be required to take the lead on the sales function of the business. As the Sales Manager, you will be continuously improving the commercial offerings, so the business continues to build on its world-class reputation for delivering outsourced IT services.
Sales Manager Position Overview:
- Establish a new business sales function
- Work closely with senior management and key staff to develop and implement sales strategies and initiatives to drive revenue and growth
- Develop and maintain relationships with key customers, partners, and vendors to ensure customer satisfaction and profitable growth
- Lead the SAM (Sales and Account Management) team, including setting individual and team goals and objectives, setting performance metrics, creating and managing sales plans and budgets, and providing feedback and coaching
- Establish and maintain effective communication with internal teams, including marketing
Essential skills:
- 3+ years of sales experience in the IT/Technology Sector
- The candidate will ideally be within reasonable commuting distance to Surrey as they will be required to attend the office 1 day a week
- Proven ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies
- Proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with customers and partners
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
