Sales Manager, UK

The role of Sales Manager UK is a key part of the team. You will be the sales lead in the UK with a core focus on the Huffy & Licensed brands. You will lead the Development & execution of the sales strategy with responsibility for defining key customers, range plans, promotional execution, and new business development.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Develop and execute the sales strategy that meets overall company goals across the UK & Ireland markets for the Huffy range of products.
- Maintain and grow our existing partners and to maximize sales and marketing opportunities within these accounts.
- Identify and prioritize new and growth accounts in line with our customer strategy.
- Utilize existing relationships to negotiate terms, pricing, and promotional opportunities.
- Provide structured joint business plans for top tier accounts that will stimulate profitable growth and brand exposure.
- Negotiate and manage in-store displays and online execution displays. Ensuring the focus is always on active support that aides sell through.
- Own all sales forecasting for defined retailers, meeting all financial deadlines and budget submissions, flagging risks and opportunities in a timely manner.
- Aid sales of all United Wheels brands as products as needed.
- Produce weekly & monthly sales updates along with product forecasting and account budgeting.
- Work with local teams of our key licensing partners to ensure in-country execution.
- Close liaison with customer services and accounts teams on order book management and credit risks.
- Participate in marketing activities as required such as trade shows, product launches, promotions, advertising, etc.
- Work closely with Operations to ensure appropriate product pricing, sourcing and delivery are correct on internal systems.
- Manage the execution of new product initiatives and/or core product improvements from inception to market launch.
- Conduct competitive analysis to understand the market and key opportunities to differentiate product.
- Maintain excellent product knowledge on the whole product range.
- Ensure internal stakeholders are fully aligned with the requirements to deliver.
- Work closely with our global teams to share best practice market data.
- Assisting sales with clinics, training, store visits, etc.
Education and/or Experience
- You will be a dynamic and hands-on person with a minimum of 5-10 years’ experience selling in a relevant consumer goods sector and bring with you a good knowledge of managing a large territory and multiple customers.
- You will have experience working with major UK retailers.
- Bicycle Industry, Toys and Licensing or outdoor goods industry preferred but candidates from other consumer goods will be considered.
- You will have strong skills in numeracy, communication (both written and verbal) and have excellent analytical and IT skills.
- You will be happy to take direction from the EMEA Sales Director but also be able to work autonomously.
- You will need energy, enthusiasm, and a good sense humor.
- UK Office based with hybrid working available. Ability to travel across the region as and when required.
