We have an amazing opportunity to join the team here as our Event Sales Manager
Hope Street Hotel sits in the beautiful Georgian quarter of Liverpool, we are a privately-owned award-winning hotel with 149 bedrooms, two restaurants - The London Carriage Works with 2 AA rosettes and 1931 a modern pizza restaurant. We also have a luxury spa (listed by the Times and Sunday Times as one of their ‘Spectacular Spa Breaks’), and eight dining, conference and events spaces including a private cinema. We have also recently opened a little sister rooms-only hotel, School Lane Hotel, based in the heart of Liverpool ONE offering 55 bedrooms.
The role:
Reporting directly to the Revenue Manager, the Event Sales Manager is responsible for maximising the sales potential and achieving the Meeting & Events sales targets of the hotel, whist providing exception service from enquiry and co-ordination to handing the event over to the operational team, ensuring the appropriate follow up in relation to final billing, feedback and client account management to encourage loyalty and repeat business.
Main responsibilities:
· To lead and direct the Events sales team to ensure the delivery and achievement of the highest standards.
· Ensure all departmental procedures are correctly followed
· Empowers team members to resolve guest needs.
· Directly answers all incoming enquiries/opportunities.
· Provide the perfect show round, providing the required information and further guidance on enhancements,
· Ensure all information is accurately recorded and shared through regular meetings and communications with the internal teams delivering the meetings and events.
· Inputs and maintains contact, account
· Exhausts all avenues to sell hotel through alternative dates and/or rates.
· Strives to meet measurable targets and goals, as assigned for individual and team.
· Calling days – to co-ordinate regular sales campaigns, driving new and repeat.
· Work closely with reservations and reception team on to identify new sales leads and providing opportunity information to the Sales Manager, to convert into new business.
Experience and qualities required:
Minimum of 2 years previous event sales or coordinating experience in a hotel or venue
Previous experience in a similar role is desirable at management/supervisory level
Good knowledge of using Rezlynx
Strong selling and interpersonal skills.
Effective communication skills both verbal and written
Excellent organisational skills and time management
The ability to work to a high standard, with attention to detail
