Role: Sales Account Manager (3PL)
Salary: Base £25,000 to £30,000. OTE £50,000 per annum
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8am to 5pm
Location: Newport, NP19
Genpower is the exclusive distributor for Hyundai and JCB Power Products for the UK and Ireland.
Established in 2006, we have grown exponentially and are a leading supplier of quality power products such as garden machinery, generators, water pumps, light construction equipment, pressure washers, power tools and much more across our product range available to an approved dealer (reseller) network and direct-to-consumer ecommerce channels. We also offer a 3PL service from our Newport site – offering space and storage solutions along with fulfilling orders for other companies such as online sellers, ecommerce or even brick-and-mortar stores that do not possess their own warehouse and distribution facilities.
As part of our continued growth strategy, we are presently seeking an experienced and successful Sales Account Manager to join the team.
The role encompasses selling our 3PL service and account management of the 3PL business.
Candidates need to be dynamic, commercially astute logistics sales professionals who can identify and develop new business opportunities across a variety of sectors. Your combination of commercial acumen along with strong influencing and interpersonal skills will ensure you have ample opportunities to deliver new service propositions. You will be the kind of individual who feels comfortable approaching and establishing a rapport with new and varied personalities; creating and maintaining a network of contacts to ensure a constant flow of leads for your new business pipeline.
In addition, you will be responsible for responding professionally and working with the solutions and operations team to create sustainable and profitable proposals. Main duties:
· To sell our 3PL fulfilment service, to maximise income from our Newport distribution centre.
· To build and promote strong and durable client relationships.
· To achieve all KPIs including meeting and exceeding revenue targets, call targets, etc.
· To prioritise and manage daily workload.
· To follow up inbound leads generated through marketing activity.
· To prepare proposals and quotations for prospective clients.
· To recommend specific solutions that meet the client’s needs.
· To contribute to the continued success and excellence of the business.
· To undertake field based meetings and appointments as required.
Skills and experience required:
· Fully IT literate and competent in the use of Google Docs, Microsoft Office (e.g. Email, Word, Excel) and fully conversant with the internet.
· Base knowledge of ecommerce systems and websites would be beneficial.
· Attention to detail.
· Good written English and basic numeracy, together with a good general education.
· Ability to compose clear, accurate and concise documents.
· Competent typing abilities.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills (including telephone skills).
· Team player, able to work well with others and supportive of company objectives.
· Personal leadership, self-awareness, self-confidence, self-motivation, ability to take initiative and ability to cope with high workloads and competing priorities.
