- The Company
KDMedia owns and operates its own portfolio of annual award programmes, trade shows and conferences and have built an outstanding reputation for the creation and delivery of high quality, business to business events. This effective team combines operations, sales and marketing functions and delivers 40 events each year for over 4,000 guests.
Based in Edinburgh, KDMedia operates 8 different event brands in a range of industries including the drinks sector, housing, law and real estate.
The new Sales Executive will support the sales team working to build revenue around their drinks related event brands, working directly on The Scottish Whisky Awards, The Scottish Gin Awards, The Scottish Beer Awards, The In Drinks Trade Show and The In Drinks Catalyst business accelerator competition.
- The Role
- Growing sponsorship sales in the three annual drinks competitions, The Scottish Gin Awards, The Scottish Whisky Awards and The Scottish Gin Awards.
- Selling sponsorship packages for the In Drinks trade show, a national trade show for all drinks categories which takes place annually in March.
- Selling Exhibition Stands for In Drinks 2024
- Working with marketing and operations to ensure smooth running of all investments for clients.
- Skills Required
- Ability to work on several projects at any one time
- Building positive and effective relationships with clients
- Generating and contacting new business leads
- Working independently and as part of a small team.

- The Candidate
The ideal candidate will have some sales experience and have a passion for the drinks sector. Previous experience working in drinks, events or media sales is desirable but not essential. The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines is essential as is good time management skills and attention to detail in written and numeric communication.

£25k base salary with OTE of £35k and uncapped commission.
