We are currently looking for an experienced and motivated Hotel Sales Executive to join our team at The Stafford London Hotel.

About the role, what will I be doing?

As a Sales Executive, you will enjoy being part of an independent establishment with a can do and a positive attitude. You will be developing, maintaining and managing an account base within the Local Corporate, Meeting & Events accounts and Group segment, generating revenue and new business opportunities for The Stafford London. Your duties will include:

  • Researching and prospecting potential corporate clients in the local area, with guidance from Assistant Director of Sales
  • Negotiate rates for new accounts within the set parameters of the hotels’ overall strategies with Assistant Director of Sales
  • Liaising with the Reservations team on loading of accounts, updating profiles and confirmed group planning
  • Participating in sales blitzes, trade shows, workshops and exhibitions as appropriate
  • Constantly managing our current portfolio of local corporate clients, agents etc
  • Ensuring that regular communication is maintained and repeat business is delivered
  • Complete and distribute the weekly / monthly sales report and detailing activities, including monthly Sales matrix report
  • Prospecting accounts from the competitor set, by using Hotelligence system, local insights, networking events and local research
  • Meeting potential clients to show them the Hotel facilities including FAM trips, meeting existing clients, agents & companies on site to discuss their requirements and offer professional guidance
  • Having a full understanding of the hotel’s products, history, facilities
  • Liaising with the accounts department regarding credit applications
  • Assisting in collating a complete Sales & Marketing plan, in conjunction with the Sales and Marketing team
  • Ensuring all deposits and monies are received and administrated in line with the company’s procedures when needed
  • Be fully acquainted with the services, facilities and rates of competitor hotels and visit on a regular basis where possible
  • Perform any additional duties deemed necessary and reasonable, including dealing with other market segments, requested by the Director of Sales & Marketing, Assistant Sales Director or General Manager

Who are we looking for?

  • Proven sales professional with a minimum of 1-year direct sales experience within a premium sales organisation
  • Passionately driven towards revenue goals
  • Polished and professional communication skills – verbal and written
  • Excellent standards of personal presentation
  • Understanding of Excel, Word and Power point is necessary
  • Understanding of Opera programmes would be an advantage, but not essential
  • Previous hospitality experience advantage
