Position Agreement of Sales Estimator

3 Key Responsibilities:

1. Information take off from enquiries, including gathering project information (5Ws), product information, and clarifying queries with customers where necessary.

2. Creating quotations using templates and ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

3. Collaborating with the project management team on handover and cost tracking to ensure smooth project execution.

Skills Required:

1. Good communication skills to interact with customers, suppliers, and internal teams effectively.

2. Basic Microsoft 365 skills, particularly in Excel, for data management and analysis.

3. Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate quotations and pricing.

4. Time management skills to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.

5. Adaptable, flexible, and able to take initiative in a dynamic work environment.

6. Ability to work well in a team, collaborating with various departments and stakeholders.

7. Self-motivated to take ownership of tasks and deliver results independently.

8. Commercially aware, keeping up-to-date with market trends and pricing.

9. Ability to learn and understand technical terminology and methods related to the construction and furniture industries.

Experience Required:

1. Experience in the construction industry and familiarity with reading drawings.

2. Estimating experience, including creating and managing quotations.

3. Strong customer service skills and experience in speaking to customers.

4. Experience or practical knowledge in fitted furniture, sheet materials and manufacturing.

5. Experience in working as part of team and communicating effectively with other departments

Potential Development Projects Needing Input:

1. Quotation template and product take off developments

My duties and responsibilities in this position are:

1. Information take off from enquiries, including gathering project information (5Ws), product information, and clarifying queries with customers where necessary.

2. Creating quotations using templates and ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

3. Collaborating with the project management team on handover and cost tracking to ensure smooth project execution.

4. Creation of leads through various channels such as Barbour ABI, phone, etc.

5. Qualifying leads and incoming enquiries by gathering the 5Ws (Who, What, When, Where, Why) information.

6. Maintaining a schedule of enquiries and keeping track of all enquiries from lead stage through to follow-up stage, ensuring that quotations are returned on time.

7. Collaborating with the purchasing team to collect pricing from suppliers, updating standard pricing on templates, and collecting rates for bespoke items.
