Job description

To support our growing UK business we require a Sales Engineer for our camera business. The role is sales based, with a technical emphasis, and offers the opportunity to work with scientific imaging systems, as well as a large number of other photonic technologies.

Responsibilities:

• The role requires a balance of visiting customers for sales and demonstrations of cameras, and office based work, as part of a team.
• Sales of all other products, from our Systems Division and Components Divisions, including scientific cameras, spectroscopy Instruments, light sources and other photo-detectors, from time to time
• Tasks including tender submission, lead generation and qualification, quotations, negotiation, customers technical queries to both new and repeat customers within UK and Eire territory
• Liaise with our parent company in Japan via email to grow business and solve customer queries
• Keeping our customer database and all other company filing systems up to date, after corresponding with a client
• Attendance and representing the company at some exhibitions and trade shows.

Personal Specification- Required Qualifications / skills :

• Good Honours degree in a life-science related subject (or practical experience in a related field)
• Postgraduate education e.g. MSc or Phd in a life-science related subject (or practical experience in a related field)
• Experience with microscopy and imaging, or use of scientific cameras
• Excellent interpersonal skills and have the ability and enthusiasm to deal with customers and colleagues, via email, phone, in person
• Clean driving licence

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
