Job description
Our Company
Land is a finite resource. As competing land-use demands continue to grow (from agriculture, housing, green energy, transport and protecting and enhancing nature), it is imperative that those managing it make well-informed decisions.
Land App exists to empower people to make these decisions as best as possible for both ecological and financial resilience. Our user-friendly mapping platform is designed for land managers and their advisors to better understand their land, design and appraise future opportunities with their business and nature in mind, and ultimately facilitate decision-making. With over 15,000 registered users, we help over 4,000 rural teams and professionals across the UK manage land and apply for funding. Our customers include national agents such as Savills and Strutt & Parker; landowners such as Sandringham, Goodwood and the Cowdray Estate; government agencies like National Parks and the Forestry Commission; and supermarkets like Sainbury’s.
We believe that bringing together data, advice and incentives in a modern, accessible, online platform can help people make informed decisions and manage land for long-term economic, environmental and social benefits. Our vision is a world where our data and technology empower businesses, enhance our natural environment, and organise meaningful collective action to address our planet’s sustainability crisis.
We are a young, dynamic business and are looking forward to welcoming more driven individuals into the team. In particular, as we begin our scale-up journey, we are looking to increase the number of our user base on our subscription tier to drive revenue and allow the company to grow.
Your role
As a Sales Development Representative, you will be responsible for generating new leads, qualifying prospects, closing deals and setting high-value appointments for the sales team. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of the land management and environmental sector, and be able to effectively communicate the value of Land App's products and services to potential customers.
You will use your entrepreneurial spirit to proactively seek new business/upgrade opportunities, designing, managing and implementing a systematic process for doing so.
Your responsibilities

- Qualify prospects by understanding their needs and pain points
- Set high-value appointments for the sales team
- Build relationships with prospects and nurture them through the sales process

About you
You care about our company mission and want the chance to have a real impact on a national and, as we grow, global scale. You have a clear sense of what a positive future could look like in the land management and environmental space, and see how technology can transform land management whilst tackling major sustainability challenges. In particular, you:
- Have at least 1-3 years of experience in sales or client-facing roles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software, ideally using Hubspot.
- Have demonstrable sector knowledge and experience, ideally in a professional capacity at a land agent firm, estate management, chartered surveyor or environmental consultancy.
- Are comfortable working autonomously and remotely, with travel nationally and internationally as required.
- Have an entrepreneurial spirit and proactively seek out new opportunities.
Our offer to you
- Salary of £25,000 to £32,000 per annum (depending on experience)
- Commission and bonuses available according to sales-based activity
- Location: Remote (<45 mins of Bristol preferred for weekly hybrid work sessions with the sales team)
- Potential to join the company’s tax-efficient share option scheme
- Annual training allowance of £1,000 for a course of your choice
