Description
Sales Development Rep - OH Large Group Sales
Location: Aligned to an Elevance Health office, with a hybrid work schedule and local travel expectations as needed.
Responsible for providing strategic support to sales account executives in the Local markets. May also work with Account Management and Retention.
How you will make an impact:
Identify and prioritize leads and accounts for sales teams through broker analytics and pipeline management.
Utilize broker analytics and market insights reporting to prepare sales teams prior broker and client meetings.
Prepare AEs and AMs for finalist meetings through analysis of customer needs and competitive insights.
Strategically assist with proposal and renewal management including coordination with underwriting, renewal negotiations, identifying upsell/cross-sell opportunities and follow-up work.
Update and review jeopardy and renewal reports to identify accounts that may go out to bid.
Obtain and analyze competitive feedback on cases in jeopardy.
Assist with CRM updates; Work RFP questionnaires; Create, execute and analyze Salesforce.com reports.
Minimum Requirements:
Requires a BA/BS and a minimum of 1 year of related experience in sales, group health insurance, and account management in the managed care industry or an approved Sales internship; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background. Sales license is required to be obtained and appointed within sixty (60) days of hire.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:
Experience working in the managed care/healthcare insurance industry preferred.
Experience interacting confidently with key stakeholders, as a subject matter expert and comfortable with influencing decision-making preferred.
Excellent written, oral, presentation and interpersonal communication skills with the proven ability to negotiate expectations between multiple parties highly preferred.
Proven ability to resolve complex issues in a fast paced and high demand environment strongly preferred.
Proficient with Microsoft Office products, MS Teams and Salesforce highly preferred.
