Description of Position:
Engage with an international clientele (visitors and collectors) to sell artworks in person and electronically
Ability to understand client needs and build ongoing relationships
Flexibility in performing various day-to-day gallery operations
Assist with web site inventory and CRM database maintenance
Assist the shipping department when required
Assisting with exhibitions and special events
Qualifications:
Requires an approachable individual with solid retail sales experience to contribute enthusiastically
Mature, self-motivated person who can exercise sound judgement
Able to work independently and as part of an integrated team
An interest in learning about Indigenous art and culture
Initiative, organizational and time management skills
Strong oral and written skills to communicate effectively
A willingness be resourceful and to pitch in on varied tasks
Computer literate; working in a PC environment operating Windows and Microsoft applications and software
Experience in maintaining a client database
Experience in corporate B2B sales is an asset
Previous gallery experience is preferred, but not necessary
A university or college degree or in pursuit of a post-secondary education in an associated field is an asset
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $41,000.00-$44,000.00 per year
