Job description
We are seeking an enthusiastic Salaried GP with excellent communication skills to join our friendly and supportive multidisciplinary team.
Our Culture:
We have a very friendly working culture with daily coffee breaks which all the multidisciplinary team are encouraged to attend. Regular away days help with team building and further development of our practice. Our ethos is to continue to make the work place an enjoyable place to be, support each other and to prioritise work life balance.
The Practice:
Tilehurst surgery has a diverse population of 14,800. We are active members of our Reading West PCN which has a total of 44,000 patients. We are a high earning reputable practice within easy reach of London and Oxford and with excellent local schools. The premises are practice-owned, purpose built (having had a major building extension completed in Autumn 2019).
The Team:
We have a very supportive multidisciplinary clinical team consisting of 4 GP Partners, 7 salaried GPs, Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, Nurse Practitioners, Paramedics, Physician Associates, First contact physiotherapists, Health Care Assistants and Phlebotomists.
We are well organised and adaptable to the ever-changing needs of General Practice. Medicine management is via our inhouse Pharmacist Team and home visits are conducted by our Paramedics and one of our Physician Associates. We have extremely helpful Receptionists and Administrators who manage the workload by taking on non-clinical work such as read coding and answering website queries.
Training:
We are a GP training practice and are keen for all our staff to continue to develop their roles. Specialist interests are actively encouraged, and we have GPs with interests in dermatology and minor surgery. We teach medical students from Oxford University.
Our ideal candidate would be looking for 4-6 sessions per week. Our ethos is to prioritise a work life balance.
