About the Role
Stifford Clays Medical Practice, in Grays, is looking for an enthusiastic salaried GP to join our friendly, caring, dynamic and innovative practice, working 6-8 sessions per week.
The role will include all general duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care, as well as participation in clinical meetings and the supervision of trainee and junior staff. Home visits are very few, as these are covered by our paramedics. Professional development will be supported.
Our GPs are supported by a multidisciplinary team comprising:
- Practice nurses
- HCAs
- Paramedics
- Mental health nurse
- Physician associate
- Social prescribers
- GP care advisor
- Health & wellbeing coach
- First contact MSK physiotherapist
- GP trainees
- Clinical pharmacists
- Practice staff
- PCN ARRS staff
About the Candidate
All applicants should have the following qualifications:
- Fully qualified GP with GMC registration.
- Annual appraisal and revalidation (when appropriate).
- Be on the NHSE medical performers list.
and skills, including:
- Good understanding and experience of chronic disease management and primary prevention & screening services.
- Ability to take responsibility for your own career development, learning and performance and are responsible for ensuring that all your mandatory training is in date.
- Awareness of and compliance with all relevant practice policies and guidelines, e.g. prescribing, confidentiality, data protection, health and safety.
- Commitment to life-long learning and audit to ensure evidence-based best practice.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in a confidential manner.
- Knowledge of SystmOne would be advantageous, but not essential.

We are a busy, effective and well-organised training GMS practice, with 4 GP partners and 1 salaried GP. We are located in Thurrock and have a patient list of 10,000. We have an excellent reputation, streamlined processes, with a “Good” CQC rating and high achievement for QoF. We are also very active in the local (Grays) PCN.
