About the role

We’re looking for a Senior Safety Engineer to join us in the Safety Case team at HMNB Devonport, one of the largest naval bases in Western Europe. For more than three hundred years Engineers have been shaping the dockyard to ensure it supports the fleet and protects the nation. We need you to help continue this tradition, transforming, sustaining and improving Devonport to meet the demands of the Royal Navy for the next hundred years.

As a Senior Safety Engineer your activities could include but won’t be limited to: the provision of Nuclear and Radiological knowledge and support to the business; the provision of technical advice on Nuclear Safety Assessment processes and policy; ensuring compliance with statutory legislation and the terms of the Site Licence; the delivery of Nuclear Safety Cases and Licencing Plans; the development and implementation of Nuclear Safety processes and standards. This project presents an opportunity to get involved in the development on a new Safety Case.

Help us to create the naval base and dockyard of the future and in return you will receive a competitive salary, good benefits package and the unbeatable quality of life that comes with living in one of the most beautiful corners of the UK.
