Job description
This individual will be responsible for collecting and analyzing data to identify gaps or areas of opportunities that will improve GCC's operational and business practices. The Data Analyst will also work with the employee group to determine and supply the necessary information for them to make decisions. The Data Analyst will provide important insights to the business by making data accessible and easy to understand, with the goal of streamlining business processes and generating data driven decisions.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Organize and transform information into comprehensible structures such as charts, graphs, and reports.
- Design test cases to cover business processes and system functions; run tests, analyze results, manage defects, and resolve issues.
- Provide supporting data/information for decisions.
- Supporting process design and transformation.
- Support company and business unit initiatives.
- Support the company with report requests.
- Other relevant duties as assigned.
SKILL AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, a business discipline or equivalent practical experience with strong competencies in SQL, Power BI, and Dax; R and Python would be a plus.
- Experience in the development of underlying data models.
- Experience in SQL Query and Business Intelligence tools for reporting and analysis.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks.
- Strong collaboration, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
