About the Role:

Working in our Energy Technology and Security division, you will be involved in planning, managing, and delivering programmes of work to support nuclear safety critical infrastructure, throughout the UK in a multidiscipline environment. The team includes a wealth of experience and expertise in the design and substantiation of safety related systems, structures and equipment. Sharing of knowledge and learning of new skills is actively encouraged. As we continue to grow, we are looking to appoint an additional Safety Engineer to support projects at Devonport.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Taking a leading role in the development of the safety case including Nuclear, Product, Construction, Process and HSE
  • Technical quality and excellence of your work
  • Communication with clients and other design team members and participation in Design Reviews, HAZOPs, HAZCONs SHERAs and stakeholder meetings
  • Contributing to the development of designs for complex facilities, systems and equipment
  • Adherence and contribution to business and quality management systems
  • Operational and design safety, and developing good safety culture
Here’s What You’ll Need:


Essential:

  • Understanding of the principles of safety as applied on civilian and/or military applications
  • Working knowledge of key legislation and regulatory requirements
  • Proven track record in delivering safety case documentation,
  • Good verbal and written communication, and report writing skills
  • Ability to produce safety case documentation
