CM Almy was founded in 1892. We design and make virtually all of our products in Pittsfield, Maine. It is our mission to design furnishings that will grace places of worship and ensure their value by making them with the highest quality materials and craftsmanship. We make a complete line of vestments, clergy apparel, choir robes, candles, communion bread, linens, processional and altar appointments, and Eucharistic vessels. Sew all Almy products using proper materials, quality specs, and required jigs. Adjust machine settings to meet Almy quality standards Maintain sewing machine to ensure it is in proper working order. Alert any machine issues to the department leader Clean area as required to maintain efficient operations Embrace the team concept by being flexible to complete work on time Perform in process work tracking by accurately scanning jobs at your workstation Be customer oriented, making attention to detail the highest priority Qualifications Able to follow written work instructions and drawings Able to use hand tools and operate a sewing machine Possess the understanding of quality control standards Able to communicate both verbally and in writing Possess the physical capabilities to perform the job such as, hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, able to distinguish colors, and understand the units of measurement on a ruler, sit, bend, pull, push, and reach consistently Able to use proper lifting techniques and be able to lift up to 25 pounds +/- or ask for assistance as needed Able to work individually as well as being a team player Available to work Monday - Thursday 6am - 3:30pm and Friday 6 - 10am Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred Benefits of working with us CM Almy believes that if we take care of our employees, they will take care of us.
