You will be driving our iconic striped double decker buses through the Safari Park, whist delivering exciting and engaging tour commentaries about the animals and estate to your passengers. This is no ordinary bus driver role, with attractive working hours including no unsociable hours, you’ll have a great work life balance. Plus, where else does your bus route take you through a pride of lions, across iconic capability brown landscape and past an Elizabethan Stately home.
What will this role entail?
Reporting to the VIP Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for providing a unique and entertaining experience as well as guaranteeing outstanding customer satisfaction. You will ensure the safety of your vehicle through daily checks and defect reporting where required.
Key duties will include:
- Maintain the fullest knowledge of all aspects of the safari park, visitor attractions and the Estate to provide the best possible commentary and information to visitors. This includes specialist species knowledge, individual animal behaviour and entertaining facts.
- Show excellent driving skills to manoeuvre through the park during all seasons with a courteous and safe manner to other drivers and staff.
- Be responsible for your own vehicle carrying out daily checks, reporting defects and ensure its cleanliness for professional guest service.
What will I need to be considered for this vacancy?
- Full PCV Driving License with valid CPC.
- Excellent communication skills, especially in talking to large groups of people.
- Be flexible with working hours to meet company requirements.
- Health and Safety Conscious with assertiveness when reporting issues.
- Energetic, enthusiastic and outgoing people skills.
- The ability to work quickly and efficiently.
- Animal knowledge is not required and full training will be provided.

You’ll be employed on a permanent contract working a minimum of 130 hours across 13 weeks, with working hours to vary over a 7 day rota basis, including weekends, evening and bank holidays as required. Earliest start time from 8am, and latest finish time up to 8pm, varying in accordance with opening times.
