We are now recruiting Gas and Heating Engineers covering the East Midlands area.

Salary: £33,100 per annum plus standby allowance of c£280 per week when on rota plus appropriate overtime rate when attending the call.
20 days annual holiday entitlement, increasing with service
Working 37.5 hours per week Full time - typical attendance will be 08:00am until 4pm Monday to Friday. There will be a requirement to join an out of hours call out rota typically 1 in 5 weeks
The Role
You will provide technical diagnosis and solutions and perform routine maintenance checks in relation to Gas and Hot and Cold Water systems and some electrical maintenance. You will be involved in fault finding, maintenance, repair and installation of these systems and will regularly liaise with customers. Working across a specified region, you must be willing to travel.
Key aspects of the role include:
- An understanding of complex technical issues in relation to gas and electrical maintenance.
- Manage the delivery of Corrective and Planned Maintenance to meet the performance measures detailed in the contract.
- Liaise with customers’ representatives on a day to day basis to ensure customer requirements are fully met.
- Check and ensure all appropriate and approved paperwork is completed.
- Make personal judgments on how to undertake work to achieve cost, quality and contractual objectives
- Identifying and reporting of faults/H&S issues on sites across the estate.
About you
As an experienced Gas and Heating engineer you will hold a commercial gas qualification/certification either COCN1, CODNCO1, CKR1, CMET, CEN1 and CIGA1 and be Gas Safe registered. Experience in maintaining Gas equipment / pipe work and hot and cold water systems. Supplementary electrical skills such as 18th edition will be highly desirable. A flexible approach and the ability to communicate complex issues effectively.
A full UK manual driving licence, as this vacancy will involve travel within a specified area for which a van will be provided
