As a Risk Analyst, you'll be part of the Risk Oversight team and the first line of defence, responsible for non-financial risk governance oversight across Everyday Banking (EDB).
You'll work closely with business units across EDB to support completion of risk identification reviews, the assessment of controls effectiveness, and the reporting of risk metrics for the Directorate as 1st Line of defence.
You’ll be adaptive and flexible to the changing needs of risk management in the business by supporting the wider team with the management of various risks, to include but not restricted to: RCSA, Event Reporting, Scenario Analysis, Third Party Supplier Risk Management, Planning, End User Computing, Audit and Compliance Recommendations and S-OX.
The difference you’ll make.
Building a robust picture of EDB’s risk profile across all non-financial risk categories (including operational risk, conduct risk, third-party risk)
Identifying, assessing, managing, and reporting risks, taking proactive personal responsibility to ensure compliance with our risk frameworks and policies
Providing technical support for Risk and Control Self- Assessments, ensuring Heracles is updated with relevant controls, events and activities that may impact the risk profile
Supporting the business with the identification and reporting of events, ensuring Heracles is updated in line with policy requirements
Producing trend analysis and risk reporting to be used at relevant forums and committees
Reporting risk metrics, highlighting and escalating issues with Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and Data Quality
What you’ll bring.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build collaborative relationships across the business up to a senior level
Strong analytical skills, able to rationalise data from several sources and create meaningful insight which can be incorporated into management of the local risk framework
It would also be nice for you to have.
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint capabilities, with demonstrable experience in use of pivot tables, V-Lookups and other formulae (such as If statements etc.)
Sound knowledge of Everyday Banking with experience of presenting to senior management
Experience in non- financial risk and control management and applicable regulations within Financial Services
Working knowledge of Heracles and associated MicroStrategy reporting
What else you need to know.
This is a full-time permanent position. We are offering this role as a hybrid-based role, working 2 days per week in the office at Milton Keynes and remainder from home (other Head Office locations will be considered).
