Application Tester (Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire)

Salary: £28,000 - £34,000 (Office based Monday – Friday)

They were Established in 2007, and are based in Newcastle under Lyme, they are a dynamic and successful Distributor of wireless consumer electronics.

The company has more than trebled in size over the last few years and have rapid growth plans for the next couple of years.

What you will be doing:

Your job purpose is to help support the growth of the business through the testing, documenting and training of their rapidly evolving in-house applications and websites to ensure optimal efficiency and quality of performance and experience.

What your days will look like:

Working closely with the Developers and Users in this hands-on role, you will;

Design and perform Unit testing, full end-to-end pre-release UAT testing and regression testing of in-house developed software applications and websites / web-based applications

Creation of application documentation in all formats as well as testing documentation and reports

Manage the change and issue logging system

Perform training and provide first line support to a variety of end users (local and remote

Any other tasks deemed necessary to support business needs and / or cover for colleagues

What you will need:

Min 3 years’ solid experience helping to develop and deploy structured application testing methodology.

Experienced of: ERP/CRM Database

Experience of training is preferred but not as essential as being friendly, confident, professional and articulate at all levels.

Structured and solution-oriented with good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Diligent and organised with a forensic level of attention to detail to work consistently to high standards.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including in a written format.

BSc in Engineering or equivalent (ideal)
