Key Accountabilities:

• To ensure ripened product is always available to meet orders and business forecasts, by coordinating product ripening, and managing stocks in line with Company policy and procedures, QM systems and customer specifications.
• To utilise the facility to maximum capacity, by ensuring it is prepared and suitable for receiving product and loaded according to specification.
• To establish, maintain and manage the environmental conditions within the ripening facility to optimise the ripening process.
• To observe, measure and report throughout the ripening process and keep accurate records, including traceability paperwork.
• To facilitate the cooling process and unload the ripened product into clean storage in preparation for despatch according to company procedure.
• To ensure accurate input into the Prophet system relating to all pressures found when tests undertaken.
• To clean the ripening facility in line with Company procedures in readiness for next batch.
• To ensure calibration of all equipment on a daily basis and sign off accordingly.
• To ensure all VNA/MHE checks are carried out before use and sign off the paperwork.
• To assist in the training of new members of the team as and when required.
• To work closely with Technical, Procurement, Operations and Business Unit Managers to coordinate product requirements and escalate issues.
• To look to identify areas of continuous improvement and communicate ideas to relevant staff. To use tools and techniques such as 5S, root cause.
• To actively promote best practice in relation to Hygiene, Health & Safety standards and good housekeeping and support the Company’s efforts to minimize its environmental impact and adopt environmental best practice.

For all roles, candidates will be expected to demonstrate a good understanding of both verbal and written English. You will also be required to work well in a team, be flexible and have great attention to detail skills.

This role involves working 2,2,3 shift pattern.

This is an hourly paid role, paid in monthly instalments.
