Our amazing team have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Physiotherapist to join the Rheumatology Team as part of the wider multi-disciplinary team.
The successful post holder will be required to work alongside the existing Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and unregistered staff in the development of the Rheumatology team within the context of the wider Rehabilitation Service.
The focus of this role is the provision of evidence based highly specialised physiotherapy assessment, diagnosis and treatment of patients within the speciality with an emphasis on those with highly complex and/or chronic presentation.
You will join a dynamic MDT and work very closely with the rheumatology consultants and specialist nurses.

- To use advanced clinical reasoning and a wide range of treatment skills and options to formulate individual management and treatment plan, in agreement with the patient. To review and evaluate patient’s condition at each physiotherapy session and to amend the treatment programme as necessary to achieve planned objectives.
- To accept day to day clinical responsibility for the Rheumatology speciality and to organise this efficiently and effectively with regard to clinical priorities, use of time and staff available. To ensure a high standard of clinical care and support by all staff.
- To support service needs and developments within the current political agenda by contributing to the continued professional development of Multi-Disciplinary Team.
- To provide therapy to patients within the Rehabilitation Services as part of an agreed working rota.
We provide a comprehensive range of specialist, acute, obstetrics and community-based healthcare services to around 331,000 people across west and north Norfolk, in addition to parts of Breckland, Cambridgeshire and South Lincolnshire.
We have more than 4,000 staff and volunteers, approximately 530 beds, and a helipad for air ambulances. We work with neighbouring hospitals for the provision of tertiary services, including as part of regional partnership and network models of care, such as the trauma network.
In February 2022 the significant progress that has been made at QEH was recognised by the Care Quality Commission who rated the Trust as ‘Good’ in all of the core services they inspected. They recommended the Trust moves out of the recovery support system (formerly special measures).
