Job description

Due to continued growth FB The Wholesaler is looking to recruit a multi-drop driver to deliver fresh produce to educational establishments.

At FB The Wholesaler we require a delivery driver to:

• Check your vehicle is loaded correctly
• Plan the route to make sure that deliveries are made on time
• Unload goods at the right addresses
• Leave invoices and obtain signatures when you deliver
• Record mileage and the fuel that you buy
• Return undelivered items to the warehouse and note any credits required
• Take responsibility for the van, reporting any problems or damage

The personal skills that are required for the job:

• Having a friendly and engaging personality.
• Comfortable working with members of the public.
• A confident manner.
• Must be helpful and polite.
• Drivers should be physically fit as they may be required to lift large amounts of stock.
• Able to work as part of a team.
• Should be smart in appearance and articulate.
• Have a good level of numeracy and English literacy skills with the ability to read and complete record sheets and paperwork accurately.

Early starts, 6am, Mon- Fri term-time only. There is scope for a job share, working 2 or 3 days a week. This is a fixed term contract based on the duration of the business contract.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 24 months

Salary: £11.25 per hour
