We are looking for a:
Calibration and Integration Engineer
The resource will be involved in the control system integration, calibration, and verification. The candidate that we are looking for will contribute to developing the subsystems of the vehicle across the entire lifecycle including requirements definition, system design, vehicle development, pre-production, and production launch phases.
Responsibilities:
- Execute the vehicle controls and software release process.
- Develop test plans based on the controls and software development plan.
- Develop specifications for and selection of future test equipment, and conduct software and controls testing. Document test results.
- Identify, debug, and resolve software and controls issues found during development, testing, calibration, and verification activities.
- Engage with, participate in, and actively support issue resolution associated with product test-benches, HIL, test trips, fleet usage, durability, customers etc.
- Develop application specific calibrations to support overall vehicle programs.
- Participate in vehicle build events.
- Develop and execute DVP plans and testing.
- Perform due diligence of outsourced Tier 1 test capabilities to ensure that validated products align with requirements.
Technical requirements:
- Experience and knowledge of electric powertrains and software testing methodologies.
- Technical experience and knowledge associated with vehicle electrification and controls (software, calibration, diagnostics, ISO 26262, hardware and systems, software design, test automation, battery technology and testing, etc.)
- Knowledge and experience with major automotive or Class-8 systems (emissions, OBD, powertrain, electrical, thermal, high-voltage, safety, ADAS, HMI, drivetrain, etc.)
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with MATLAB, Simulink, HIL, ETAS, Vector, etc.
- Expertise in vehicle and test-bench instrumentation, data acquisition, and analysis.
Preferable requirements:
- Ability to work safely in vehicles, labs, etc.
- Individual should be highly analytical, self-starting, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team to solve problems and present information.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven ability in managing multiple projects and assignments with accountability.
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in an automotive development environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Automotive Engineering.
