Job description
We are seeking a Revenue Demand Analyst to join our team and work from our Head Office based in London Bridge (hybrid working).
The role will be to provide insight driven, high quality analysis to improve business performance and to help support decision making. There will be an emphasis on working closely with the Commercial team to provide market intelligence and expert analytic reviews to steer and support marketing, pricing and retail decisions.
There is the potential for this role to be done via flexible working and this can be discussed on an individual basis at interview.
Main ResponsibilitiesMain Responsibilities
You will have a number of main responsibilities within this role that will include, but not be limited to:
- Gaining detailed knowledge of relevant business activities driving demand/revenue change as well as endogenous/exogenous demand drivers to continually develop clear, concise, and relevant financial and management reporting.
- Managing and providing support to Managers and Directors to ensure modelled revenue/demand uplifts driven by budgeted activities and projects are realistic and projects are delivered as planned.
- Ensuring that the drivers of change in Southeastern’s market share (as a carrier or as a retailer) are understood, controllable where possible and in line with expectation.
- Building good working relationships with Directors, Managers and Colleagues to share with them management information and analysis based on insight and enquiry.
- Ensuring Southeastern’s interests are given due weight by representing us as appropriate on industry-wide project working groups.
- Maintaining and enhancing Southeastern’s reputation with external stakeholders by providing timely data and analytic expertise as appropriate whilst remaining at the same time sensitive to considerations of commercial confidentiality.
- Acting as a business change agent by proactively identifying and implementing process improvements within the team and across the business.
- Providing expert support and user administration for Tableau/DWH users across Southeastern.
- Contributing towards the modelling, influencing, challenging, justifying and reporting of the Annual Business Plan as well as quarterly rolling forecasts for passenger income and demand.
- Ensuring financial records are complete and accurate and reflect underlying business activities and objectives.
To be considered for this role, you will need to be able to showcase the below in your application:
- Experience of working with/designing spreadsheets to undertake complex analyses
- Tableau and/or PowerBI experience
- Good geographic knowledge of Kent (desirable)
- Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
- Excellent analytical skills
- Experience within a similar Analyst role
- Ability to translate complex data into usable and presentable information
- A keen eye for detail
- Ability to work using your own initiative or as part of a team
